Long vs Short videos—a creator's dilemma

Today's random thought has nothing to do with Voicenotes or Obsidian or any of that. I've been noticing the number of views of my videos going down. And that's happening only to the long videos. When I take a look at the Shorts which I really don't like to produce, the numbers are not only high, but they keep growing.

And this is such an uncomfortable situation, because like I said, I prefer the long videos. I show things on screen. I have to explain things and these Shorts, they are too short 😊.

So I've been experimenting with some ideas, but I don’t want to make Shorts just because I have to make Shorts. I would like them to be intentional.

So going back to that idea, I’m testing some possibilities here and the Supernote is a good candidate for that because I can show how things work in the Supernote.

But I'm also thinking about maybe showing some quick tips, some Obsidian quick tips and other apps. And that's interesting because I started this recording saying that it had nothing to do with Obsidian and probably start talking about Voicenotes screen sharing as well, and that's also something I said it was not going to do.

Anyway, back to my line of thought here. So maybe show these quick tips, quick ideas to help people do things on these apps. But I'm not sure if that's what people would like to see as shorts.

Oh... this online world has been in constant change since forever. I've been doing this for so many, many, many years; it changes all the time.
